The Buffalo Bills still have a bunch of players available in free agency who suited up for the Bills in 2025.
One of them is off the board now.
Dane Jackson signed this week with the Jacksonville Jaguars, in a move announced by the Jags.
The cornerback has spent five of his six NFL seasons with the Bills, including 2025.
He was originally a seventh-round pick of the Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Pitt.
Jackson then played his first four seasons in Buffalo. He had an interception as a rookie, then two more picks (with 12 passes defensed and 57 tackles) in 2022.
Jackson played 52 games across those first four seasons in Buffalo.

He then left town to join the Carolina Panthers for the 2024 season. Jackson played in nine games with the Panthers and made 23 tackles.
Jackson returned to Buffalo for the 2025 season but got into just three regular season games due to injury. He did play in the postseason, as well.
Jackson will turn 30 years old in November, so he likely still can continue to play at his current level for a little while longer.
The Jags didn't need to rush to sign Jackson, who was still available to them in early June, but he'll be able to provide them with some depth in the secondary. Teams can hardly have too many cornerbacks in this era of the NFL, so even if Jackson doesn't compete for a starting job, he can be useful depth to the Jaguars as they try to follow up a surprisingly potent season by getting right back to the playoffs in 2026.
