For most of the NFL, when we get to this time of the year, many are all over the playoff implications, what it takes to win the division, secure playoff football, and anything else in between, but apparently not Buffalo Bills receiver Khalil Shakir.
With most aware of what needs to happen over the next couple of weeks, it creates a greater sense of urgency to get the right results.
And for the Bills, if they win, and the Indianapolis Colts or Houston Texans lose, they will clinch a playoff spot.
Something that Shakir wasn't aware of.
“I didn't even know that,” Shakir said. “It's great, obviously that's the goal, right? Get into the dance and give yourself a chance at the big one. Obviously, it means a lot to us, but for us, we want to win every single game, and whatever that comes with, it comes with. I go back to just us trying not to make it bigger than what it is. This game is the most important one because it's the next one.”

Week 16 Shakir's only focus
Whether or not you believe Shakir's comments doesn't really matter, but he isn't wrong.
Focus on the game that is up next, because if you get caught looking too far ahead, that is when disaster can strike, and for Buffalo, it isn't in a position where it can afford a loss if it wants to win the AFC East.
With a chance to pile the pressure on the New England Patriots, who play Sunday night, the Bills can move level with their rivals for top spot in the division by beating the Cleveland Browns.
All three games left on Buffalo's schedule are hugely important, but as Shakir says, Sunday is the most important one, because it's the next one.
