Bills fans will love Joe Brady's latest quote as franchise hits reset

1 hour ago 3

The Buffalo Bills are entering a new era with Joe Brady as head coach, plus the franchise is moving into a new stadium.

With Sean McDermott out, after another failed offseason, the winds of change have blown through the organization, and it is now Brady tasked with bringing a Super Bowl to Buffalo.

But with McDermott being at the helm for so long, things have been done a certain way for so long that it can be hard to change.

However, Brady wants to make it clear that this is his ship, not a continuation of what McDermott did.

“Yeah, look, this is Year One, it's not Year 10,” Brady said. “This isn't just Joe Brady's in and everything's business as usual, right?

"It's important that everybody in the organization knows it because if we continue to speak about how things used to be, then we'll never continue to go forward. I have so much respect for the past, but it's Year One in organization right now.”

Brady facing huge offseason

You never want to be the guy after "the" guy, but that is what Brady is, and make no mistake about it, the same expectations McDermott had, Brady has as well.

And that is despite this being his first head coaching job.

Fans want success, and having gotten so close under McDermott, Brady is seen as the person who can get the Bills over the top.

Now, the offseason will play a huge role in that and who the franchise keeps and who it doesn't, but if you take away one thing from Brady's press conference, let it be this.

He's doing things his way.
