Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson have reportedly called it quits. The couple reportedly ended their relationship late last year, bringing an end to one of the most talked-about romances in the sports world.
According to TMZ Sports, sources close to Hudson confirmed that the 74-year-old North Carolina Tar Heels football coach and his 25-year-old girlfriend are no longer.
Despite the split, the two reportedly remain close friends and are committed to maintaining their business partnerships.
The breakup appears to have happened behind the scenes, with Belichick and Hudson continuing to make public appearances together throughout this year. Hudson was supporting Belichick on the sidelines during UNC's home game against Syracuse just last week.
Hudson has been less visible around the Tar Heels football program this season compared to last year, although she has attended several games, including matchups against Notre Dame and East Tennessee State. She also joined Belichick at a high school football game in late September.
The couple first met aboard a flight in February 2021 and began dating in 2022. Their relationship became public in June 2024, quickly attracting widespread attention because of their 49-year age difference.
Their romance also generated controversy in April 2025 when Hudson interrupted Belichick during a CBS Sunday Morning interview about how they first met. Belichick subsequently defended Hudson, arguing that the interview had been edited to create a misleading impression.
Belichick's second season in Chapel Hill has been filled with challenges. UNC general manager Michael Lombardi resigned amid an internal investigation in September, while Belichick's son, Steve, later announced his departure as defensive coordinator while on medical leave.
The Tar Heels are 4-3 in Belichick's second season following a disappointing 4-8 debut campaign.
