The 2025 Big 12 baseball tournament is anyone's for the taking.
The top five seeds in this year's tournament were separated by just two games in the regular-season standings. Postseason play begins with four first-round matchups Wednesday, kickstarting a four-day sprint to Saturday's championship game.
West Virginia enters the field as the No. 1 overall seed with the two nationally-ranked clubs — No. 25 Kansas and No. 24 TCU — rounding out the tournament's top-three seeds.
Perhaps one of the new editions to the conference will win the tournament in their maiden voyage as members of the Big 12. Arizona and Arizona State, former Pac-12 powerhouses, enter the event as the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds, respectively.
Then there's Oklahoma State, the odds-on favorite to win the conference in the preseason, looking to make noise as the No. 7 seed.
