Few wrestlers in the world of professional wrestling can match Andrade's skill level in the ring. Therefore, he has competed for almost every major promotion in the world. He recently made his shocking return to AEW after his WWE exit. However, it was later reported that the former WWE star had violated his non-contract clause and had to be taken off TV. Currently, there is no date for when he is expected to return to the ring.

WWE doesn't want to bring Andrade back to the company

Shortly after Andrade made his return to AEW, it was reported that WWE sent a Cease and Desist letter to the Jacksonville-based promotion since El Idolo was in violation of his non-compete clause. PWInsider also reported that the former WWE star could be forced to sit on the sidelines for a year due to him breaching his non-compete clause. People within lucha circles believed that WWE was doing this to bring him back to the promotion.

However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that this isn't the case, as El Idolo's name hasn't been discussed within the sports entertainment juggernaut.

"For what this is worth, according to those in WWE, the rumors from last week that WWE is looking to now bring him back aren’t true. One person near the top who would likely know said that he had never heard the name discussed. Another who would have to know said the story wasn’t true.”

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the AEW star.
