The Cincinnati Bengals have some big needs to address this offseason, with the majority coming on the defensive side of the ball.
But that doesn't mean the offense will be neglected. One of the more interesting positions to monitor is backup quarterback, as Joe Flacco is a free agent.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Bengals are interested in re-signing Flacco. However, Fowler warns that the Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Minnesota Vikings might have serious interest in signing Flacco this offseason.
Bengals get bad Joe Flacco news from Vikings, Steelers
"The Bengals have expressed interest in re-signing quarterback Joe Flacco," Fowler writes. "But Flacco will have options, possibly as a bridge quarterback elsewhere. The Vikings considered signing Flacco last offseason. And the Steelers will have an opening if Aaron Rodgers doesn't re-sign there. Pittsburgh liked his free agency profile last offseason, too."
While the Bengals might have interest in bringing Flacco back, he would strictly be a backup to Joe Burrow in Cincinnati.
If the 41-year-old is looking for playing time and not just a team to be a part of next year, then the Bengals might not be his best option.
The Vikings, with some massive uncertainty with J.J. McCarthy, and their interest in the veteran quarterback from last offseason, could be a realistic landing spot.

The Steelers are also a possible destination, and it revolves around the status of Aaron Rodgers. If he's back, then the Steelers likely wouldn't have interest. But if he retires or leaves for a new team, then the Steelers would be a landing spot.
With the Bengals serious interest in bringing Flacco back, the interest from the Steelers and Vikings would be some bad news.
Those are better landing spots for Flacco in terms of playing time, something he could be looking for. But, if neither spot is open, or Flacco is not opposed to a reunion even as a backup, the Bengals seem likely to try to bring him back for another year.
