Another week, another disappointing loss for the Cincinnati Bengals after the team gave up a last-minute touchdown to Colston Loveland that iced the game with a final score of 47-42.
Heading into a bye in Week 10, the Bengals will have a lot to assess before trying to get back into the win column. Particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
Cincinnati has been hit with multiple injuries to key players. With an extra week of rest, it will be worth watching how their recovery progresses.
Bengals provide injury updates to Tee Higgins, Samaje Perine, and Shemar Stewart
Bengals insider Jay Morrison released an injury report for the team on Monday. With two injuries taking place on the offense, and the other to their 2025 first-round pick.
Tee Higgins, 26, appeared to suffer a head injury in Week 9. However, he was checked out by trainers and never had to enter concussion protocol. He will be in line to play coming off the Bengals' bye next week.
Semaje Perine, 30, suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday, Morrison said that the backup running back will have to miss multiple weeks while recovering from the setback.
Shemar Stewart, 21, went down with a knee injury in the contest. The 2025 first-round pick (No. 17 overall) has been dealt multiple setbacks in his first year in the pros that's limited him to just five games played this season. A more in-depth report on his injury will come out after the Bengals' Week 10 bye.
Cincinnati's week off couldn't come at a better time, as the team looks to fix a defense that has struggled against nearly every opponent this season. Following the loss, the Bengals dropped to third place in the AFC North with a 3-6 record.
