There will be no Triple Crown this year, but a superstar horse will return to action on Saturday.
After being held out of the Preakness Stakes on May 17, Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty will be racing at the 2025 Belmont Stakes. With more than a month to prepare for the final leg of horse racing's gauntlet, he enters as the presumptive favorite.
Sovereignty's main competition will be Journalism, who won at Pimlico after finishing as the runner-up at Churchill Downs. Other horses like Baeza and Rodriguez could give them a run for their money in the main event.
