Is it really Week 6 of the NFL season, and the Los Angeles Chargers are still trying to get their first win of the season? Yes, this is actually happening. As crazy as it sounds, this is real life.

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterback Justin Herbert are just not having their year. In fact, Herbert has seven interceptions, which ties him for the league high.

In ESPN's Week 6 preview ahead of the weekend of games, reporter Anthony Gharib says that's partly because the Chargers often play from behind.

"Coach Jim Harbaugh did his best to explain the turnover trend," he notes.

"He's competing. Trying to help his team win. There's definitely times where he's trying to make a play and too many times this season, there's been that desperation time," Harbaugh said, per Gharib. "That's what I'd attribute that to. He's doing anything and everything he can."

So, Harbaugh is standing by his quarterback for now. At the same time, ESPN's release points out that the team's "defense has eight takeaways this season, tied for the fifth most in the NFL. That's the most takeaways by an 0-5 team since the 2015 Lions, who had nine."

In other words, the Chargers have a lot to clean up here. When you're 0-5 to start the season, you know you have a major problem that goes beyond just the quarterback.

Now, the Chargers unfortunately have to face the Chiefs, a team that's looking to win another Super Bowl. It won't be an easy game, but the Chargers at least hope they can come away with a surprise win or a positive showing.
