The Chicago Bears can make a splash on both the offensive and defensive sides in this year's NFL Draft. Last year, the Bears went heavy on offense, drafting quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick and wide receiver Rome Odunze a few selections later.
Chicago could take offense with the No. 10 pick, but if the team decides to focus on defense, it could strengthen its defensive line.
The Bears could use another defensive tackle, and Dan Wiederer from the Chicago Tribune thinks they should draft Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.
"As we talked about above, the effort to strengthen the defensive line should be concerted this week. And if Graham somehow falls to No. 10, the Bears should be ecstatic. The two-time All-America defensive tackle from Michigan has a high-level feel for the game and football character that’s off the charts," Wiederer wrote. "Graham’s background as a standout high school wrestler is also notable in the way he understands leverage and plays to his strengths. It’s difficult to find players with the combination of power, balance, and instincts Graham has. He would be a Day 1 starter with the potential to be a difference maker well into the 2030s."
Graham spent three seasons at Michigan, recording nine sacks and 18 tackles for loss, so he knows how to get into the backfield and make it hard on the opposing offense.
