The Chicago Bears have one running back in town this weekend who you could throw some alley-oops.
His name is Christian Grubb, and he's an RB out of Portland State.
Grubb is at Chicago's rookie minicamp trying to earn a training camp invite.
At Portland State's pro day, Grubb had a 42-inch vertical leap. That would've been the highest among any offensive player at the NFL Combine.
Grubb also ran a 4.50-second 40-yard dash.
He began his college career at UCLA but had it limited by COVID-19, and he finally got more playing time at Portland State the last two years.

Across the last two seasons, Grubb ran the ball 73 times for 409 yards, 5.6 yards per carry.
It seems like Grubb's testing numbers may very well be what got him in the door here.
Now it'll be up to him to show he's more than just a high flyer.
Although wouldn't it be awesome if offensive mastermind Ben Johnson designed a play that took advantage of his RB's crazy leaping ability?
Grubb has to overcome the odds and make the team first to get that kind of chance.
