There's merit to the idea of the Chicago Bears trading away D'Andre Swift and drafting a younger, cheaper RB.
There's just one problem.
If the Bears have good reason to take the approach of avoiding Swift and choosing from a deep class of running backs, why wouldn't another team do the same?
PFF's Dalton Wasserman broke down this year's deep running back class and said talent should be available even into day three of the NFL Draft.
Swift is coming off a career-worst 3.8 yards per carry and getting rid of him would save $6.6 million, according to Sports Illustrated.

The veteran RB was not the boost to Caleb Williams that he needed as a rookie.
Chicago moving on wouldn't be surprising. But getting another team to give up a valuable asset for Swift at this point seems rather unlikely.
