Bayern Munich have initiated their rebuild under Vincent Kompany by reclaiming the UEFA Champions League this season. However, the fans can expect a lot of activity from the club this summer with multiple incoming players.
The Bavarians have already confirmed the departure of their club legend Thomas Muller after not handing him a contract renewal. So the fans can expect a big statement signing from the club.
Bayern have been long-term admirers of Florian Wirtz, and despite a lot of interest from several top European clubs, they may have just cracked the code with the German international.
As per recent reports on German outlet BILD suggest that the Leverkusen star has agreed to join Bayern, snubbing the opportunity to move to Premier League or join Real Madrid.
But the deal is far from done for the Bavarians. Although they may have struck an agreement with the youngster, Leverkusen may not like to sell to their direct rivals.
Therefore, Real Madrid, Manchester City and even Arsenal are not completely out of the race just yet.

Can Xabi Alonso comvince Wirtz to join Real Madrid?
The current Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso, as per reports on Marca, has already agreed to take charge of Real Madrid as Carlo Ancelotti's successor once the La Liga season ends.
The Spaniard was an influential figure at Leverkusen as he guided them to a domestic double last season which included their unbeaten Bundesliga triumph. He also had a key role in helping Wirtz develop into one of the best young players in the world right now.

According to some earlier reports, Alonso has reportedly demanded the signing of three players if he moves to Madrid and one of them is the German international.
Recently, Alonso was asked about Wirtz preferring a move to Bayern. The Spaniard denied knowing anything about the 22-year-old's next destination. “Florian Wirtz didn’t tell me that he only wants to go to Bayern… this is not my information," the Spaniard replied.
So, despite Bayern gaining momentum in this deal, Alonso can still influence the 21-year-old and lure him to Santiago Bernabeu.
As per BILD, Bayern are ready to shell out €100 million but Leverkusen are demanding €150 million for their superstar player. So it is a major roadblock for the Rekordmeister.
Wirtz is currently contracted with Leverkusen till 2027, and the only alternative that can work in Bayern's favour is if he stays this season and decides to move to Bavaria in 2026. In that case, Leverkusen may be forced to cash in on the 22-year-old.
The German attacking midfielder has netted 16 goals and provided 12 assists this season for Leverkusen across all competitions. So he will surely be a great addition to any setup that he decides to join.
