Electronic Arts has announced the Battlefield RedSec Elite Series and Open Series. The Elite Series is scheduled to begin on December 10, 2025, aiming to bring competitive play to the forefront of the game. The Open Series will serve a parallel purpose, starting two days later on December 12, 2025, providing a dedicated tournament that's open to players of all levels.

On that note, here’s everything you need to know about the Battlefield RedSec Elite Series and Open Series.

Battlefield RedSec Elite Series format and where to watch

According to the official Intel blog, the Battlefield RedSec Elite Series is a series of weekly competitive cash cups, which will be played in different regions: the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC). Its prize pool will exceed $1 million USD during the first season, from December 10, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

A total of 50 team captains from every region will be invited to inaugurate the Elite Series, where they'll handpick their squad of four members.

The 50 groups will then engage in a series of six RedSec battle royale matches. They will fight for their spot among the top eight squads in a knockout-style elimination mode known as Gauntlet. This format of competitive play will be repeated over three Qualifying Match Days, with teams earning Elite Series Points for their performances.

The competitive version of Gauntlet focuses on specific map and mode combinations, with the addition of an extended round timer. After playing the Qualifying matches for three days, the top 25 squads with the most Elite Series Points will reach the regional Season Finals.

As explained before, the prize pool for the first season of the Battlefield RedSec Elite Series is over $1 million USD across all three regional finals. The top four teams from each match will receive additional tens of thousands of dollars across all three Qualifying Match Days and the Season Finals.

The American region will have a $50,000 USD prize pool for each qualifying match day, along with a $500,000 USD prize pool divided among the participating squads in the Finals Gauntlet.

As for the viewers, Twitch Drops will be available across each Qualifying match day and the Season Finals.
