The Battlefield Pro battlepass in Battlefield 6 has now gone live, offering a brand-new skin as well as a variety of lucrative rewards. Fans have noticed that the latest paid skin you get by progressing through the pass is eerily similar to Ghost from the Call of Duty franchise, especially the ski mask with skull-like design. This has led to mixed reactions from the community.

This article discusses the new Battlefield 6 skin, which allegedly copies Ghost from COD, and how you can get it.

New Battlefield 6 battlepass skin heavily resembles Ghost from COD franchise

The latest Battlefield Pro battlepass in Battlefield 6 has recently been released, rewarding numerous in-game items and rewards at each tier. Among the various offerings, the Objective Ace skin for the Assault class of The Desert Locusts faction has stood out the most, due to its uncanny resemblance to Ghost from the Call of Duty franchise.

The skin features the fighter wearing a black ski mask with a white pattern at the front. While the design isn't exactly a skull by any means, it does bear a striking resemblance, leading many fans to suggest it is a copy. Moreover, the addition of shades and a headset further makes this skin feel similar to the Call of Duty character.

@EndersFPS Is it blatant? Absolutely but idc I miss the ghosts characters so imma accept this and be happy, tho it’s DEFINITELY gonna be revised to not look similar

Many fans in the community, like X user @IGotIsekaid, expressed the sentiment that they are happy with the Ghost reference, despite it seeming obvious and blatant.

@EndersFPS 10 bucks it’s AI generated and stolen

On the other hand, some netizens like @KYLOHbro suggested the design may be a stolen one, which may have relied on AI. However, if the new skin was designed by a human, there may only be two possibilities as to why the skin bears such a strong resemblance to Ghost, which X user @BlackIceSheep summarizes well in this post:

@EndersFPS This is a full blown copyrighted design, btw. The artist behind it either didn't know and thought the airsoft kids wearing the Ghosts mask were using a free domain design, or they are DID know and thought slightly changing the face shape makes it transformative (it doesnt)

According to the user, it is possible that the artist behind skin may not be genuinely aware of Ghost's design. They may have simply used ski masks worn by kids as their reference. However, the other possibility is that they may have known and believed they could get away with it by slightly changing the design.

Either way, the Objective Ace skin in Battlefield 6 has become a subject of discussion within the community.

You can obtain this Ghost lookalike skin in BF6 by completing the ongoing Battlefield Pro battlepass. It is the reward for the final tier. However, it is worth noting that the current iteration of the pass only lasts for seven days, which is not nearly enough duration to finish the entire battle pass. As such, it can be an immense grind to possibly finish the pass before it ends.
