The Miami Heat have been the primary NBA story for the past few days because of Bam Adebayo's 83-point outburst. It was a special night for Adebayo, the Heat organization, and the fans on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, it has been widely criticized by analysts, other teams' fans, and even former players because of the game being seen as an "unethical" performance. This has led to Adebayo responding after their game on Thursday.

After the Heat's game against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, all types of criticism were expected. The Heat did their best to maximize Adebayo's chance of getting a historic game.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra knew that this was a special night for Adebayo, so he made sure to make the most out of a superb performance. He believed Adebayo deserved it, and the team delivered for their captain.

Spoelstra himself does not care about what is being said. However, some people have called out Adebayo for "disrespecting" the game, which is something the big man dislikes hearing.

"For the couch coaches, I mean, if you're in my shoes and you have, first of all, y'all are blaming me. You should be blaming the head coach. Get that first. I was not the one letting me go one-on-one the whole game until I had 70, and then you started to send a double," Adebayo said after their Thursday game against Milwaukee.

"Yeah, I'm going for it. You can't be mad at that. If you are mad, I don't care because a lot of people are upset because if they did play, they never had a chance to get that close to chasing greatness."

It is hard to blame Adebayo for chasing a record because only a few players get the opportunity to score over 80 points. Only three players have done so in NBA history, and now, Adebayo will always have that iconic performance.
