It has been a rollercoaster 2025-26 season for the Miami Heat. They have a 25-22 record at the moment, which is quite decent, but they know they are capable of doing more.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra has been quite vocal throughout the season about his team. He wants more from his team, and it looks like the squad wants to be as competitive as possible.

Adebayo admits the Heat's team meeting has galvanized them

Throughout the season, the Heat have had some promising stretches. They started the season strong, becoming one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.

Unfortunately, the Heat have been an inconsistent bunch. They can show promising flashes, but they suddenly go on a bad stretch of games. The team does not want to keep doing that, which is why they had an intensive meeting.

It is important to be receptive to each other's opinions for a winning team. Bam Adebayo believes they had a good meeting, during which the players and coaching staff were held accountable.

"We got to really speak as men. Get it out. And not being sensitive. Not only are the coaches saying their piece, but the players as well," Adebayo said about the Heat's important meeting.

"That’s one thing I do love about Spo. He’s not ‘my way or the highway.’ He’ll actually listen to me. Idk about anybody else, but he’ll actually listen."

The Heat are coming off two big wins against the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz. These two victories could be the start of something new for Miami. If they can keep growing as a team with these performances, the sky is the limit.

With players like Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Norman Powell, and more on the roster, the Heat have all the tools to become a top team. They just need to find their form and maintain the momentum.
