TNA just secured a major TV deal. New details have come to light about several wrestlers' contracts.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has been doing quite well for itself ever since it partnered with WWE. The company even recently secured a TV deal with AMC, which will start in about a month. It was recently reported that several stars' contracts with the promotion were expiring by the end of 2025.

Some wrestlers' contracts even expired between Bound for Glory and the start of December. According to a new report from Fightful Select, TNA has effectively finalized a number of short-term deals with several talents. Many of these deals are about three months long. However, it isn't known who has signed those deals yet. These types of deals have been preferred by the company and the talent, as it offers them flexibility. The talent have reportedly noted that they prefer short-term deals as it keeps their options open, while sources within TNA have indicated it helps the promotion bring in new wrestlers who aren't keen on long-term deals.

Matt Hardy wants TNA to focus on storytelling

Matt Hardy has been one of the backbones of TNA Wrestling for the past few years. He and Jeff Hardy are also the current World Tag Team Champions. Therefore, he has an opinion on what the company should be focused on moving forward.

During an episode of Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the former WWE star said that he wants the company to focus on storytelling instead of five-star matches.

"And one thing I can say, I'll say this off the top. I want us to focus on story more than f**king five star matches because that's f**king way too overdone now. I mean in AEW they can have all those but like the type of audience we are looking for are people that are getting compelled by the storytelling and the characters. That is something I want to focus on. I'll say that blatantly right up front."

It's good to see that this promotion is finally finding its footing after several difficult years.
