A new teaser trailer has been officially released for Avengers: Doomsday, giving a first glimpse at what's unfolding in the film. While the latest video did not give major clues about the plot or the approaching dangers, it revealed a surprising return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, one of the major MCU characters from the past.

The teaser trailer starts with Rogers driving a motorcycle through a countryside backdrop. As he steps inside a farmhouse, the video shifts to showing him carrying Captain America's suit and putting it in a trunk. At this point, the trailer finally reveals Chris Evans as Rogers, doing his dad duties as he cradles a baby in his arms.

The soft and lovable expression on his face reflects a new side of the popular character. Experiencing the personal side of life and keeping his superhero role aside, the brief snippets of Rogers leave the viewers wondering how he would step into action in Avengers: Doomsday.

The following words are then reflected on the screen, officially confirming Chris Evans' return to the movie:

"Steve Rogers Will Return In Avengers: Doomsday"

Evans last appeared as Captain America in Avengers: Endgame (2019), after which the baton was passed on to Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie. His return, as confirmed by the teaser trailer, makes fans wonder about how things would progress in the upcoming film.
