Josh Giddey hasn't put a foot wrong to start the 2025-26 NBA season and played himself into All-Star conversations. However, on Saturday, he showed that even the best can be vulnerable to embarrassing moments.
During the third quarter of the Bulls' clash against the Cavaliers, Giddey had his ankles snapped by a silky smooth crossover from $23.3 million forward De'Andre Hunter.
Giddey tried to guard him on the perimeter when Hunter surprised him with a jaw-dropping move to blow past him on his right, which is supposedly his off-hand, for a two-handed jam. Here's the clip:

The situation almost turned from bad to worse for Giddy, who not only was on a lowlight reel for himself, but also nearly left the game injured. The Bulls guard headed to the locker room to get checked, but, fortunately, returned.
Here's how fans on X reacted to the incident:
Nastiest crossover I’ve ever seen in my life lol
This is as bad as it can get no shotttttt
Giddey ACTUALLY broke his ankle??
Bro Giddey might need to file a missing person report after that… Hunter sent him to another ZIP code
