Athiya Shetty cuts cake alongside KL Rahul, friends & family during 33rd birthday celebrations [Watch]

Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty celebrated her 33rd birthday on Wednesday, November 5, surrounded by her husband, Indian cricketer KL Rahul, along with close friends and family. Athiya, the daughter of veteran actor Suniel Shetty, is known for her performances in films such as ‘Hero’ and ‘Mubarakan.’

To mark the occasion, Athiya celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony alongside Rahul, her brother Ahan Shetty, and friends. Glimpses of the intimate celebration were shared on Instagram by Sinan Kader.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty tied the knot on January 23, 2023, in Khandala. Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Evaarah, on March 24, 2025.

On the cricketing front, the Karnataka batter was last seen in action during the three-match ODI series against Australia, which concluded on October 25. Rahul scored 49 runs in two innings as the Men in Blue went down 2-1.

KL Rahul to return to action in the second unofficial Test against South Africa A

India A, led by Rishabh Pant, defeated South Africa A by three wickets in the first unofficial Test at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. The two sides will face off again at the same venue for the second unofficial Test, starting Thursday, November 6, which will also mark the return of KL Rahul along with other senior players such as Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj.

India A squad for the 2nd unofficial Test: Rishabh Pant (C/WK), KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Sai Sudharsan (VC), Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Harsh Dubey, Tanush Kotian, Manav Suthar, Khaleel Ahmed, Gurnoor Brar, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav.

Following the completion of the A series, India will host South Africa for a two-match Test series, set to begin on Friday, November 14, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The second Test will commence on Saturday, November 22, at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
