Astrologer who predicted Adani downfall gives massive claim on IND vs SA 2025 1st Test

Famous astrologer Sumit Bajaj claimed that the upcoming Test series opener between India and South Africa is expected to be a historical match. The contest kicks off at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Friday, November 14.

Bajaj previously predicted that billionaire businessman Gautam Adani could face a major financial problem from the end of January 2023 to February 2023. His prophecy came true as Adani's net worth reportedly fell by $26 billion during the period.

Bajaj wrote on X ahead of the Shubman Gill-led side's Eden Gardens Test against South Africa:

"India Vs South Africa Test match at Eden Gardens Kolkata is likely to go down as a historical test match to be remembered forever!"

Notably, Bajaj's prediction for Virat Kohli went viral after the 2023 ODI World Cup. He correctly predicted that the star batter would break Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49 ODI centuries at the showpiece event.

He wrote on X after Kohli completed his 50th ODI ton in the semifinal against New Zealand:

It is worth noting that South Africa have not won a Test series on Indian soil since their 2-0 clean sweep in 2000. The ICC World Test Championship 2025 winners would aim to improve their record this time.

"He will continue to do well" - Sourav Ganguly backs Shubman Gill to shine in IND vs SA 2025 Test series

The forthcoming series will be Shubman Gill's first assignement as captain at home. His red-ball captaincy stint began with a 2-2 away series draw in England. Former skipper Sourav Ganguly backed the 26-year-old to do well against the Proteas.

He pointed out that Gill did a commendable job on the England tour. Ganguly said during a media interaction (via ANI):

"Shubman Gill is very good. He is a fantastic batsman and a very good captain. He captained India remarkably in England. As a young boy, going to England and captaining in England is not easy. He will continue to do well for India as a captain."

Gill had a remarkable series with the bat in England. He was the highest run-scorer of the rubber, finishing with 754 runs across 10 innings.

While Eden Gardens will host the first Test, the second and final match will be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, from November 22. The two sides will later compete in three ODIs and five T20Is.
