These are the skills you need to focus on for the Cleric build guide:
- Barrier- Sacrifice 25% of your maximum health and apply temporary health of the same amount to the target ally for 10 seconds. This effect does not stack.
- Bless Weapon- Imbue your target's weapon with radiant light, granting them Bless Weapon. A target can only have one Bless Weapon at a time.
- Chains of Restraint- Conjure a circle of radiant chains at the target location for 8 seconds that deals (40%) Radiant damage every second and applies to targets within the area of effect. Each Weakened target hit by the initial pulse becomes Rooted.
- Cleansing Wave- (Held ability) Fire a beam of healing energy toward a target ally. Charging this spell allows the beam to bounce to up to 4 additional friendly targets closest to the original target, based on how long it was charged. The initial hit heals for (300%) healing and reduces with each subsequent bounce.
- Communal Restoration- Restore health equal to (150%) healing to all party members in range and apply Communal Restoration.

For a strong Cleric build, you must focus on items that offer Magical Power, Magical Critical Chance, Intelligence, and Magic Resist. Medium armor will help you with a balanced build, which grants enough mobility to move across the battlefield while ensuring that you have enough health points to survive battles.
We have chosen two-handed weapons as the primary and secondary choices. Although the Steel Great Spellsword has a high level requirement, its attributes more than make up for its high investment requirement.

Here are the four statistics that you should prioritize for a Cleric build:
- Constitution- Since Clerics are the healers in Ashes of Creation, Constitution stats will provide enough health and damage mitigation to survive prolonged battles.
- Intelligence- This is the most important stat for Clerics as it provides Magical Power, Magical Accuracy, Magical Critical Power, and Magical Disable Duration. These help improve a Cleric's prowess on the field.
- Mentality- This stat provides added Magical benefits like an increase in maximum Mana and the regeneration of the same. This stat also improves defences thanks to the improvement of magic mitigation attributes.
- Wisdom- Lastly, Wisdom is a crucial stat for a Cleric build guide. It improves the Magical Critical Chance and casting speed, which in turn enhances the effectiveness of this class.
Do note that these stats are effective in PvP as well as PvE scenarios. Therefore, you can strengthen your magical offensive and defensive options while ensuring you have enough health to avoid getting easily killed during conflict.
Ashes of Creation: Cleric ability rotation and gameplay tips
AOE leveling
Here is the primary rotation when you are AOE leveling the Cleric archetype in Ashes of Creation:
- Bless Weapon
- Soothing Glow
- Chains of Restraint
- Consecrating Wave
- Judgement
- Soothing Glow
- Divine Flare
Your focus during this rotation should be on keeping the Bless Weapon buff active. After funneling mobs together, use the Greatsword to mow them down while ensuring that you combine Chains of Restraint and Consecrating Wave to hit them all.
Maintain your health with Soothing Glow and use Judgment when necessary on large health targets, finishing them off with Divine Flare.
Single Target damage
Use this rotation against single-target opponents in Ashes of Creation:
- Bless Weapon
- Soothing Glow
- Smite
- Judgement
- Consecrating Wave
As usual, Bless Weapon is the best way to start the fight with a buff on yourself. If you are within melee range of your target, use Smite to avoid a cast time and deal Radiant damage.
Follow this up with Judgement and then Consecrating Waves to take down foes. Make sure your weapon buff is active throughout the rotation.
