Arch Manning names his QB role models —and it’s Not Peyton or Eli

Growing up, kids often idolize great players, especially those they see on TV. However, Arch Manning had a unique advantage. He didn’t need to look far to find inspiration. All he had to do was look around at his dinner table. He had his grandfather, Cooper Manning, his uncle Archie Manning, and his uncles Peyton and Eli to rely on.

The entire Manning family recently took time to attend their Manning Passing Academy, and Arch Manning was of course the center of attention. Manning was asked by On Texas Football who he looks up to, his answer wasn’t in the family.

“I’m watching a lot of Josh Allen and Joe Burrow right now. Those are my guys,” Manning said. “They’re dogs. I’ve watched some of their college film. They’re just good players, elite competitors and fun to watch.”

Arch Manning will take over as the team’s starting quarterback after two seasons under Quinn Ewers, who chose to enter the NFL Draft and join the Miami Dolphins. Manning will lead the team in his first game as the permanent quarterback as the Longhorns aim to confront the same Ohio State Buckeye team that thwarted their chances of securing a CFP National Championship spot in Dallas.

The game is scheduled for August 30, from Columbus.
