Arch Manning gave the dullest interview in first press conference since Holly Rowe gaffe

Arch Manning is learning from his embarrassing moment two weeks ago. After apologizing to ESPN reporter Holly Rowe for his comment regarding a viral AI video, the Texas Longhorns star QB is reeling it back in.

All things considered, he's under pressure with one of the biggest spotlights in the country on his right now. Manning media availability on Tuesday was a masterclass in short answers. If he was going to be quoted for any answer, the chances are it wasn't going to happen this week.

Manning's been short during his last two trips to the podium, but this time around extra condensed. He took 90 total seconds to answer 24 questions about the win over UTSA and the SEC opener against Tennessee on Saturday. What's most impressive is not every answer was a few words. He used the most of his time.

This will be Manning's first trip to Knoxville with plenty of family storylines to write about. Arch's uncle, Peyton Manning, needs no introduction on Rocky Top. The Hall of Famer built the start of his legendary football journey with the Vols in the late 90s. Now there is another Manning looking to add a signature road win to his season on the opposite sideline.

Arch Manning will try and do what nobody in the family has ever done. That goal is to be named a Heisman Trophy winner. Manning is on a good track, pushing the top-ranked Longhorns to a 3-0 record this season with 661 yards passing and seven touchdowns.

For Texas, Saturday's SEC opener offers another chance to impress the College Football Playoff committee. Josh Heupel and Tennessee will try to topple a nationally-ranked opponent inside Neyland Stadium for the sixth time in 12 tries. The Horns and Vols meet on Saturday (Noon ET, ABC).
