The Arc Raiders skill tree is divided into three categories: Mobility, Conditioning, and Survival. These categories make up the core of any raider's gameplay. The more you invest in specific categories, the better you will be able to experience Arc Raiders using your own playstyle, leading you to find more success in-game. The skill tree does not allow you to unlock random skills; instead, you must follow a systematic progression.
This article will explain the Arc Raiders skill tree and go over which skills you should choose to focus on based on your playstyle.
Arc Raiders skill tree: Different categories explained
The Arc Raiders skill tree looks like this in-game (Image via Embark Studios)Almost all three categories in the skill tree focus on some fundamental aspects of gameplay, such as stamina regeneration and chances of finding loot. These are key aspects of Arc Raiders' gameplay and are rather important for the player.
Apart from that, as their name suggests, the three categories also focus on specific aspects of the gameplay experience. Therefore, players with higher Mobility will be faster during certain movements, and those with greater Survival Skills will be able to find and collect more loot than usual. Upgrading each category, at least to a certain extent, is very important.

Which skill should you focus on?
The short answer is that you should focus on all the skill categories. This is mainly because all three of these skills in the Arc Raiders skill tree play an important role in your day-to-day extraction missions.
However, it makes a real difference when you are focusing more on movement or survival skills. Every player boasts a different playstyle. Therefore, if you are used to FPS games and enjoy playing aggressively, never backing down from a fight, the Movement category should take center stage.
On the other hand, if your playstyle depends on staying in safer zones and picking your fights (ideal for solo players), you may want to focus more on Survival skills in the Arc Raiders skill tree. This will allow you to get in and out with loot a bit faster.
Overall, a little investment in all three categories of the skill tree is important. Divide experience points into upgrading each category while prioritizing the one that suits your general playstyle better.
