Today Apple has announced new and expanded partnerships under its American Manufacturing Program (AMP), for critical materials and components used in the iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro, since nearly 100 components in those phones, from wireless chips to the silicon that powers key functions, are produced by American companies, with suppliers spread across more than a dozen states.

Perryman Company supplies the grade 5 titanium enclosure of the iPhone Duo. Apple is committing up to $100 million over the next three years for it, as Perryman melts, forges, and rolls titanium with a minimum of 80% recycled content for the iPhone Duo. Apple is also expanding its partnership with Qnity Electronics, headquartered in Delaware, which joined AMP in March. Qnity will produce advanced films that are essential to the new variable aperture system in the iPhone 18 Pro's main camera.

The announcement also includes updates on some existing partners. Broadcom is expanding and modernizing its facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, under the $1.5 billion capital investment announced in July, as part of the multiyear agreement that will produce more than 15 billion US-made chips. Corning, an Apple partner since the original iPhone in 2007, makes specialty glass including Ceramic Shield in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and by the end of this year all of the cover glass for iPhones (the Duo included) and Apple Watches sold worldwide will come from that facility.

Coherent supplies vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser tech from Sherman, Texas, for Face ID and other features across iPhones and iPads, including the redesigned Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. TSMC's Arizona fab will produce more than 100 million chips for Apple this year, and construction on its north campus is ongoing. Amkor, which broke ground on a packaging and test facility in Peoria, Arizona, in September 2025, began shell construction earlier this year, and Apple will be one of its first customers.

Apple works with suppliers in all 50 US states and says it supports more than 450,000 American jobs. AMP, which was first announced in August of last year, is part of the company's $600 billion, four-year commitment to US manufacturing. All of its direct suppliers will be required to power their Apple manufacturing with renewable energy by the end of the decade, as part of Apple's goal of being carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030.
