There has never been a player this accomplished in a Los Angeles Kings uniform when you boil it down to one thing: points. Kopitar is officially the all-time record holder for the Kings, making his special mark on hockey history on Saturday night.
Kopitar did it with a pair of goals against the New Jersey Devils.
When he scored in the second period, it tied Marcel Dionne's mark.
When Kopitar netted again in the third, it set the record for the Kings.
Kopitar now has 1,308 career points, all with L.A.
That breaks down as 450 goals and 858 assists.

Kopitar reached the 1,500-games played milestone last week, which made him the 25th player in NHL history to get there, and only the eighth to do it with one franchise.
There have been 39 players in NHL history to total 1,300 career regular season points.
Kopitar is 38 years old.
Originally from Slovenia, Kopitar is one of the best players from outside North America in NHL history.
He ranks 28th on the all-time assists list and 38th on the all-time points list.
Kopitar has simply been a model of consistency for the Kings, and now he's got a special record to prove it.
