In his latest social media post, Anthony Kim seemed to have reignited an old feud with the popular golf icon and analyst Brandel Chamblee. For those unaware, Kim has been in a longstanding war of words with Chamblee, who is also a vocal critic of LIV Golf.
On November 16, McIlroy won the seventh Race To Dubai title of his career despite missing out on the DP World Tour Championship title. Anthony Kim lauded the Northern Irishman for having a great career and a good year in a post on his X account.
While praising the Masters champ for being the father of a girl and celebrating success with family, the former LIV golfer also took a dig at Chamblee. Kim wrote:
"Happy 4 @McIlroyRory on a gr8 career so far & year but more happy to see another girldad doing amazing things w his beautiful family. Brandle u takin notes?😂"Happy 4 @McIlroyRory on a gr8 career so far & year but more happy to see another girldad doing amazing things w his beautiful family. Brandle u takin notes?😂
Months ago, Anthony Kim went in a war of words with Chamblee when the latter stated that members of Team USA "could lose the Ryder Cup" at Bethpage Black, citing that they were getting paid to play. Kim hit back at the Golf Channel analyst, stating that nobody cared since Team USA members would be giving the money to charity.
When Anthony Kim took a dig at Brandel Chamblee over the latter's take on LIV golfers
Back in June, Brandel Chamblee criticized six-time major champ Phil Mickelson and his "LIV compatriots" on X, claiming that the golfers play for money. He also questioned their presence in the majors, claiming that it was "likely attended by a sense of urgency."
Shortly after Chamblee's tweet, Anthony Kim responded to the veteran Golf Channel analyst by stating how the six-time major champ was still on talking terms with his kids. Reposting NUCLR GOLF's X post of Chamblee's statement on LIV golfers, Kim wrote on X:
"We all can like or dislike whoever we want but at least @PhilMickelson kids still talk to him🤷♂️. Have a great @usopengolf brandy ❤️"We all can like or dislike whoever we want but at least @PhilMickelson kids still talk to him🤷♂️. Have a great @usopengolf brandy ❤️
Kim has had a disappointing 2025 so far, as he faced relegation from the Saudi PIF-backed golf league. Despite being axed, the golfer has been consistent with his practice sessions, which he often shares with his fans.
Kim recently competed in the Link Hong Kong Open, where he secured T63 with a 72-hole total score of 6 under par. Following that event, he played in the Moutai Singapore Open, where he secured a T43 finish following a four-round total score of 8 under par.
