The San Antonio Spurs are now on the brink of the Western Conference Finals after winning Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs are now 3-2 up, and that is thanks to his contributions.
After his ejection in Game 4, it appears Wembanyama has been hungry to get back out there. He proved that in Game 5 with his performance, as he put up 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks in the 126-97 blowout.
Anthony Edwards knows Victor Wembanyama is unstoppable
Wembanyama was motivated to get back out there and prove he's the best player on the floor. Considering Anthony Edwards is also there, Wemby has shown that he is truly a mega star for the Spurs.
He was everywhere on the floor with standout plays on both sides of the game. It cements that he is one of the best players in the league, and even a Timberwolves team with Rudy Gobert cannot stop Wembanyama when he is on fire.

Edwards himself tried his best as his team's best player. He got 20 points, but it was not enough because the rest of the Timberwolves struggled against the stingy Spurs defense spearheaded by Wembanyama.
"I mean, tonight, some of the stuff Wemby was doing, you don't really have an answer for it. Just kinda hoped he misses, he came out hot and made shots... Eventually, they created another lead," Edwards said after the Game 5 blowout against the Spurs.
As the series progresses, Minnesota is in a do-or-die situation now as they head back home. There will be a two-day break in between Games 5 and 6, so the Timberwolves have a good amount of time to prepare, but it will be challenging, especially with Wemby playing this way.
