The Washington Wizards already made one splash by acquiring Trae Young from the Atlanta Hawks, and their latest move indicates they plan to make a leap next season.
The Wizards acquired former All-Star big man Anthony Davis from the Dallas Mavericks in an eight-player trade on Wednesday, bringing the former New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers star to Washington D.C. for his next act.
Davis, currently out while he recovers from hand surgery, was traded to the Mavericks in the Luka Doncic trade one year and three days before this latest deal, which sends him to a Wizards team fighting to come out of a long rebuilding phase.
Here are the full details on the deal that sends Davis to the Wizards.
