Anne Hathaway Reveals the Sweet Note She Got From "Magical" Taylor Swift

Divas? In show business? Groundbreaking.

Although Anne Hathaway's The Devil Wears Prada character, Andy Sachs, would likely award the biggest diva title to Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, the Princess Diaries star had a different person in mind when it came to the IRL divas on the set of their highly anticipated sequel.

In fact, when Stephen Colbert asked her to name the biggest diva on set during her April 15 appearance on The Late Show, Anne immediately replied, “It’s Stanley Tucci.”

As for why the Conclave star—who’s reprising his role of Nigel Kipling in The Devil Wears Prada 2—was the biggest prima donna, she jokingly replied, “He’s just so fussy about his clothes.”

That’s not the only (playful) beef the Oscar winner has with her costar either.

In fact, Anne revealed that although he’s a pasta savant with a best-selling cookbook, Stanley has yet to cook her a dish, remarking, “That b---h has not made me a morsel.”

And not for a lack of trying on her end, either.

“I have dropped so many hints that I would love to know,” she continued. “I was like, ‘Oh so you went to Italy, and you learned this dish, what’s it like?’ And he’ll tell me, but I have not yet received a crumb. What am I doing wrong?”

All jokes aside, the 43-year-old is happier than ever to be reunited with castmates Stanley, Meryl and Emily Blunt for their new movie 20 years after the original film hit theaters.

“It felt so special when we were making it,” she emphasized. “I kind of anticipated people were gonna love the movie. But what it's been and what it's become and this 20-year relationship that I get to have with the movie from the making of it.”

The reunion was even more exciting because although Anne knew fans loved the movie, she never expected the original cast would be able to film a follow-up.

“I don't think any of us ever thought that we'd be reunited as The Devil Wears Prada, you know, core team,” Anne admitted on a March 12 episode of Fandango's Big Ticket Podcast alongside Stanley. “I don't think we thought that was gonna be in the cards.”

Indeed, rumors of a follow-up had come and gone over the last two decades.

“I never thought it was going to happen,” Stanley agreed. “I've never had this experience in 45 years of show business.”
