Oscars 2026: Hudson Williams Addresses Fans' Reaction to Hard Launching His Girlfriend
Anna Wintour is asking Anne Hathaway to bore someone else with her questions.
Ahead of The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere in May, the film’s star made an appearance on stage at the Oscars 2026 alongside the Vogue editor who is widely considered inspiration for Miranda Priestly to present Best Costume Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
“Whether it's two distinct jewel-tone hats, a meticulously crafted headdress, a simple pair of semi-rimless glasses, or complex pieces that bring to life a gothic classic or watching red turn rust in 16th century England,” Anne explained at the March 15 ceremony, feigning nervousness around Anna, “a character's costume is key to telling a story.” (For every star at the Oscars 2026, see here.)
The Oscar winner went on to quip about her own outfit in front of the infamous fashion icon.
You could argue one's wardrobe in real life is also key,” Anne continued. “Does it make one appear elegant and attractive on, say, the most important night in Hollywood and when the most important people in fashion will be judging how one looks.”
As Anna looked away from Anne and put on her famous shades, Anne bravely asked, “Anna, just curious, what do you think of my dress tonight?”
To which Anna hilariously ignored, adding, “And the nominees are.”
After announcing Frankenstein as the winner, Anna nodded again to the film, nodding to the name Miranda calls all of her assistants in the film, telling Anne, “Thank you, Emily.” (For every Oscars 2026 winner, see here.)

Anna’s surprising Oscars 2026 appearance comes just two years after she addressed her alleged inspiration behind The Devil Wears Prada’s antagonist.
As Anna told the BBC in 2024, it’s “for the audience and for the people I work with to decide if there are any similarities between me and Miranda Priestly.”
And as for her signature style that the film subtly borrows from?
"I don’t really think about it," Anna added. “What I’m really interested in is the creative aspect of my job.”
