Angels fans should feel pretty good about their team's early-season grade

The Los Angeles Angels were not expected to do a whole lot coming into the 2026 season. While they were plenty busy over the offseason, they didn't make any big splashes.

However, Mike Trout has been on fire as of late, which is fantastic, but he's not the only one. Jo Adell is hitting the ball well, and so is Jorge Soler.

On the pitching side, Jose Soriano has been nearly untouchable, holding a 4-0 record with a 0.33 ERA and 31 strikeouts, which he leads the team in all three categories, while Jack Kochanowicz also deserves a bit of praise, holding a 2-0 record across four starts.

Angels fans should feel pretty good about their team's early-season grade

The Angels really showed what they were made of during their midweek four-game series against the New York Yankees. They took three of those four games, and Trout exploded for five home runs in the series.

That has brought the club to a .500 record headed into their weekend series against the San Diego Padres, which will be another test.

Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller came out with an early-season progress report for all teams, and in it, he gives the Angels quite a high grade.

"Angels (10-10): B

As was the case last year, the Angels are homering at one of the highest rates in the majors. This time around, though, they're also reaching base at a reasonable clip and they have a breakout ace leading the charge in Jose Soriano."

Things are coming around for this club, which is great news. Fans have not seen a winning record since the 2015 season.

While a postseason run could be tough, fans should feel good about how well their team is doing at this point in the season and hope they can continue to shine.
