The New York Mets are in the middle of a brutal 12-game losing streak. Their struggles have been the talk of the entire Major League Baseball world, as a contender for the World Series in the preseason has not been up to par at all.
Fortunately, the Mets are getting Juan Soto back from the injured list. He had been out for a while due to a calf issue and was one of the many reasons behind the Mets' losing streak.
With Soto's return, he spoke with reporters, including SNY TV, where he answered questions, one of which was about whether he talked to his teammates amid the losing streak. Soto revealed he didn't, and had a hilarious reasoning for such a decision.
Juan Soto reveals why he didn't talk to teammates amid losing streak
"No, not at all. They've been on the road most of the time, so I haven't talked to them," Soto said.

The Mets, once 7-4, are not 7-16. Soto played in just eight games, last playing on April 3rd, which was a 10-3 win on the road against the San Francisco Giants.
The Mets won the next three games without Soto, including the first game at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
But, on April 8th, the Mets' losing streak began with a 2-7 loss to the D-Backs. They then dropped all three at home to the Athletics, making for a five-game losing streak. It was concerning at that point, but not so alarming.
The Mets then went on the road, dropping three against the Los Angeles Dodgers, then three against the Chicago Cubs, to reach 11 straight losses.

In their first game back, one game before Soto's return to the lineup, they lost 5-3 to the Minnesota Twins. Now that Soto is back, the $765 million outfielder can, hopefully, help end the losing streak.
However, Soto revealed he didn't talk with his teammates during the losing streak at all, for the reason that they were on the road, which is a baffling and hilarious reason from the superstar.
Soto could've called anyone on the Mets team while they were on the road. But, he didn't do that, and hasn't talked with his teammates since their losing streak began two weeks ago.
But Soto didn't do that, as the Mets were on the road. Now that they're back home, the Mets should be able to hear back from Soto. He's back in the lineup, and the Mets desperately need him to help get them a win over the Twins.
