Angel Reese is a fantastic offensive rebounder. She had eight of them on Thursday night for the Chicago Sky against the New York Liberty.
At the moment, though, the second-year forward is also a brutal paint finisher. She went 0-for-8 from the field in a 99-74 loss.
It's the most offensive rebounds without a made field goal in WNBA history.
Angel Reese tonight
0-8 FG
8 offensive rebounds
That is the most offensive rebounds without a made FG in WNBA history.
A look at Reese's shot chart is even more flabbergasting.
She took one midrange jumper, but her other seven shot attempts all came within the half circle beneath the basket, per ESPN.
The Liberty have great interior size and shot blocking, but these were as point-blank of attempts as anyone could have. Reese didn't score on a single one.
Her 5-for-14 in the season opener looks like a strong shooting night now.
The Sky will need the lefty rising star to figure this out, and in a hurry.
