Angel Reese had a better night on Friday than she has had lately for the Atlanta Dream.
In a controlling win over the Dallas Wings, Reese scored 15 points with nine rebounds while making 7-of-11 shots from the floor.
One thing stood out, though, and it's a problem Reese has yet to figure out a way to escape: turnovers.
Reese had five turnovers on Friday. That compared to just two assists.
It's a brutal rate for a forward who isn't necessarily running the offense all that often.
Reese turns the ball over in a variety of ways, too. She'll travel, or throw it away, or commit an offensive foul. There isn't just one issue, but somehow just a comedy of errors.
It doesn't always outdo the rest of Reese's positive value. The Dream controlled the game in Reese's 32 minutes on Friday, a plus-12 among the best on Atlanta's roster.

It's still something that has to be cleaned up in the long run. When Reese makes her shots at an efficient rate, the turnovers matter less.
But often, she misses the majority of her shots, and when she combines that with a bunch of turnovers, it gives the opposition a major advantage.
This is Reese's first season with the Dream, so on some level, she may still be getting used to her new teammates.
But this also isn't a new issue. Reese can sometimes get out of control, and in those moments lose the ability to keep possession of the basketball.
The good news is that Reese is talented and skilled and can keep getting better. Atlanta will hope that's true as far as protecting the ball is concerned.
