In the midst of uncertainty regarding his wrestling status in the US, former WWE and AEW name Andrade made a shocking appearance at a major independent event this past Friday. The former, as well as current, multi-time champion has now broken his silence on the matter on social media, sending a message to the target of his attack at the show.

Promptly after his return to All Elite Wrestling this past October, Andrade unexpectedly disappeared from programming, after which news broke that WWE had sent AEW a cease-and-desist letter for featuring the luchador, as he was supposedly in violation of a year-long non-compete. In a recent interview, El Idolo noted that the sports entertainment juggernaut had activated the clause after his appearance in the Tony Khan-led promotion, and revealed that he was engaged in legal talks with WWE to resolve the situation.

Just over a week ago, Andrade made his in-ring return for the first time since October at WWC Lockout in Puerto Rico, where he defeated Xavant to become the new WWC Universal Heavyweight Champion. It appears that the erstwhile La Sombra wants more gold to his name, as he made a shocking appearance at HOG Winter Warfare this past Friday, attacking HOG Heavyweight Champion Charles Mason after the latter's title defense against Mustafa Ali.

Now, Andrade has sent a message to The Root Of All Evil on X/Twitter, hinting that he will be going after Mason's belt, and seemingly advising the latter to relish the final days of his run.

Fans online have already begun their speculations, as the HOG event that El Idolo showed up at took place in New York, the same city where AEW will be hosting Dynamite on 34th Street this Saturday.

How did Andrade return to AEW?

Shortly after his exit from WWE, Andrade made his All Elite Wrestling comeback on the Six Year Anniversary episode of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite. The former NXT Champion stunned fans as he blindsided Kenny Omega while he was addressing the crowd. El Idolo even joined forces with The Cleaner's former manager and nemesis, Don Callis, and became the newest member of The Invisible Hand's star-studded family.

Soon afterwards, Andrade defeated DMT Azul in Tijuana, Mexico to become the new Crash Heavyweight Champion. This turned out to be his last match before WWE enacted his non-compete clause.
