Analyst offers horror prediction for Browns fans under Todd Monken

The Cleveland Browns are looking to Todd Monken to be the one to get the franchise back to where it thinks it belongs in 2026.

Now, the task at hand isn't an easy one, as the Browns have won just eight games over the past two seasons, which led to Kevin Stefanski's firing.

Now Monken, an offensive mind, has to come in and make sense of everything and get this Browns team playing good football. Tough to do in your first-ever head coaching role in the NFL.

And for Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport, his realistic expectations for Monken and Cleveland in 2026 is a 6-11 record.

The issue for Monken is finding the best in a bad roster—at least on offense,” Davenport wrote. “Cleveland's defense should be stout again in 2026—Jim Schwartz or no Jim Schwartz. But the Browns have no real idea if Shedeur Sanders is an NFL quarterback. The offensive line was completely overhauled in free agency. The pass-catching talent is among the worst in the league.

“Fans expecting this team to be markedly better than it was a year ago are setting themselves up for disappointment.”

Monken has big task at hand

Now, if Monken did get the Browns to 6-11 in 2026, that would be the best return since 2023, when the team made the playoffs.

That is a tall order.

But Monken could be the offensive mind to get the most out of the offense, which has been horrible for the past couple of seasons. The defense "should" be in good order.

However, all eyes are on the offense and the quarterback position because the Browns' chances start and stop with that position.

Can Monken bring back some hope to the franchise? That's the hope.
