Actress Alyssa Milano took to Instagram this morning to share her “annual birthday selfie” on the dawn of her 53rd year.
The image appears to have been taken shortly after Milano woke up. In the photo, she is clad in a floral cotton pajama shirt, with her hair lightly tousled as if she has just opened her eyes to greet the day.
“No filter. No make up (just microbladed eye brows and whatever is left from my last round of Botox and filler). This is 53,” the star captioned the post.
Milano has been posting make-up-free selfies on Instagram to commemorate her birthday since 2000, when she turned 48. In that post, she shared, “This is 48. No filter. No make up. Just my skin that I’ve become super comfortable in.”
Last year, the activist shared a barefaced Instagram selfie with the caption, “This is 52. No make up [sic]. No filters. Happiness. Sprinkle that s–t everywhere.”
Addressing her 3.8 million followers, the birthday girl continued, “I love you all. Even the trolls. If you can hate a stranger—I can love a stranger. So…I love you.”
Recently, on her journey to greater self-love, Milano had her breast implants removed.
“I’m letting go of the body that was sexualized, that was abused, that I believed was necessary for me to be attractive; to be loved; to be successful; to be happy,” the “Charmed” actress shared in September.
By removing her implants, Milano hopes her 11-year-old daughter, Elizabella “Bella” Bugliari, never forms “those same unhealthy demands.” (Milano is also mom to son Milo, 14, whom she shares with husband David Bugliari.)
