Naomi Osaka caused a stir in her first-round match with an Allen Iverson-inspired look. The tennis star, who won her match on Monday, Aug. 31, against Anastasia Zakharova, caught the attention of her muse.

“Wow, what a honor!! BIG FAN can’t wait to meet you. @naomiosaka,“ Iverson wrote on Instagram, alongside a screenshot of the tennis star's quote about him being a trailblazer.

During her match on Monday, Osaka wore a silver long hooded robe that was adorned with newspaper clippings about her. She added a white skirt that overflowed into a voluminous shape.

The Iverson touch in her look was from her hairstyle, which she wore in cornrows -- that was the Philadelphia 76ers' star's signature look in the 90s and 2000s. She also wore a red and black headband, which paid homage to the 76ers, where he played for 12 seasons.

Naomi Osaka recreates Allen Iverson's legendary Sports Illustrated cover

Following Osaka drawing inspiration from Iverson's iconic 90s and 2000s fashion, the tennis star did a photoshoot that recreated the NBA legend's most legendary magazine covers.

Osaka wore a navy blue tank top and sat on a chair that was covered in a red satin cloth. She posed with a bouquet of red roses as several of the flowers' petals were also laid down surrounding her.

In the post, she shared the original image from Iverson's 2001 Sports Illustrated cover. Iverson posed shirtless carrying two dozen orange roses and wore navy blue basketball shorts with orange stripes. A basketball was in the background of his shoot, and the NBA star also had a single cross chain.

“For me, he’s a trailblazer,” Osaka previously told ESPN’s Willie Weinbaum while wearing a vintage T-shirt featuring Iverson's 1999 SLAM cover. “I think he’s also someone that I look up to a lot, because he’s kind of done a lot in fashion, whether it’s on purpose or not, but he’s shifted the way that NBA players dress.”

She added, “I also think the whole conversation around clothes in sports and also just expressing yourself through style, I feel like he’s someone that I look up to in that regard.”

Osaka defeated Zakharova and will now face Czech tennis star Kateřina Siniaková on Sept. 3.
