Eleven minutes and change remained in the Jets home opener Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets had taken a 17-7 lead. They were better than the Packers, a perennial playoff team, and it looked like they were en route to winning the game, about to start the season 2-0 for the first time in 11 years.
So with that, I began to write my story. Here’s what I began typing:
The Jets, dare we say, are looking like a rather solid professional NFL outfit at the moment.
