The Green Bay Packers suffered a massive blow during Sunday's 34-26 loss against the Denver Broncos after star edge rusher Micah Parsons sustained a season-ending ACL injury.

Parsons, who was traded from the Dallas Cowboys before the start of the 2025 season, led the defense with his stellar performances. However, with Parsons out for the season, the Packers are in a spot of bother, especially with a crucial game against divison rivals, the Chicago Bears, set for Saturday.

Former Super Bowl winner Jeff Saturday reflected on Micah Parsons' injury on ESPN's "First Take." Saturday highlighted Parsons' importance to the team and warned quarterback Jordan Love of doing all the heavy lifting in the former's absence.

"After the Micah Parsons injury in Denver and then losing the way they did in Denver. When you're talking about arguably two of the best teams in the NFL, Jordan Love needs to have a performance that sets him apart... You lost a quarterback in Green Bay, only on the defensive side. That's how important Micah Parsons is.

"So now all of the burden and all the stuff that you got to carry goes to the QB. There was a reason they went out and got Micah Parsons, because they needed a closer. But Jordan Love now has to be an offensive run football team. Let's go close it out. We have a division opponent that we have beat up on, and we just beat two weeks ago. Make no mistake, the pressure is on Jordan Love."

Packers star Micah Parsons labels season-ending injury as "greatest test"

Micah Parsons went down with a non-contact injury during the third quarter of the Broncos clash and it was later confirmed as an ACL tear, ruling him out for the season.

NLF insider Ian Rapoport reported that Parsons is expected to return in about nine months. Parsons confirmed his injury in a post-game conference, sending a strong message about his return.

"I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. This injury is my greatest test—a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. "I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again."

The Packers are 9-4 for the season and will face NFC North leaders, the Chicago Bears (10-4), in a potential division-decider on Saturday in Chicago.
