Mason Maggio will join DGM Racing’s driver lineup for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season, taking the wheel of the No. 91 Chevrolet. The 21-year-old Florida native is set for a part-time campaign, with his first race at Daytona International Speedway.
Maggio’s deal with DGM brings together a Florida-based driver and NASCAR’s only full-time Florida-based NOAPS team. While the entire 2026 schedule of the No. 91 is yet to be confirmed, the Daytona season opener carries added meaning. It is the track where Maggio first fell in love with the sport as a child and sits just a few hours from his hometown in South Florida.
The announcement was confirmed by DGM Racing in a post on X:
“From Florida roots to the Florida team 🌴 We’re excited to have @MasonMaggio1 join the #DGMFamily for the 2026 season. Fittingly, his first race will be the season-opener at @DAYTONA just two hours from Mason’s hometown and DGM’s HQ!”However, little is known about the 21-year-old, turning fans curious about his rise.
Mason Maggio's journey to the national series

Source: GettyBorn on July 7, 2004, Mason Maggio began karting in his early teens after discovering the sport with his friends. He built a strong foundation in Bandolero racing, winning 11 races and three titles in the 2018-19 season, and finished third in the national standings. He then moved to Legend Cars, where he added eight wins and three more titles.
In 2021, Maggio transitioned to Limited Late Models, earning four wins and a third-place points finish in the Paramount Kia Big 10 Challenge before advancing to Pro Late Models and later gaining ARCA testing experience. That steady progression has led him to NASCAR today. DGM Racing team owner Mario Gosselin pointed to Maggio’s mindset as a key factor behind the signing.
“Mason is a young, eager driver who isn’t afraid to put in the work to grow on and off track,” Gosselin said in a team release. “His demeanor and professionalism at such a young age are refreshing, and I am impressed with his work ethic and willingness to learn.”At the national level, Maggio has quietly built experience across NASCAR’s ladder. He has 27 Truck Series starts over the past four seasons, six of which came this year, five with Team Reaume Bros Racing No. 22 and one with Hettinger Racing No. 4.
In the Xfinity Series, now rebranded under the O’Reilly banner, Maggio made 10 starts in 2025 with Joey Gase Motorsports, besides one-off appearances for MBM Motorsports and DGM Racing. His best qualifying came with DGM at Talladega (19th), while his strongest finish arrived with Joey Gase Motorsports at the Daytona fall race (15th).
While Maggio’s 2026 run will be part-time and the number of races remains unspecified, a debut at Daytona carries weight.

The team has already signed Josh Williams on a full-time, multi-year contract following the departures of Ryan Ellis and Josh Bilicki. Ellis drove the No. 71 for DGM and moves to Young Motorsports, while Bilicki leaves the No. 91 for SS GreenLight Racing.
Maggio is the first driver confirmed for DGM’s No. 91 entry for 2026. The car competed full-time in the 2025 Xfinity Series with a rotating roster of eight drivers. Maggio acknowledged the significance of the chance he has been given.
“I’m super excited and thankful for the opportunity to be driving for DGM Racing in 2026,” Maggio added in the press release. “It is really cool to be able to have the Florida driver work with the Florida team on a regular basis next year. A huge thanks to the entire team, my family, partners, & fans for their support and making this possible. I’m really looking forward to a great season in the inaugural NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.”With Williams locked in and Maggio added to the mix, DGM Racing’s early 2026 picture is beginning to take shape, blending experience with a young Florida prospect starting at the track that sparked it all.
