Aliyah Boston and Bri Lewerke’s interaction on social media.Boston is coming off a stellar season for the Indiana Fever. She played all 44 games, averaging 15.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists. She shot 53.8% and was selected to the All-WNBA and All-Defensive Second Team for her impact on both ends of the floor.
Her performances improved in the playoffs. While Boston’s scoring average declined, her presence in the paint grew as she recorded 12.5 points and 11.4 rebounds in eight games. She was a key part of the team’s stellar run to the WNBA semifinals.
Aliyah Boston reportedly set for new role after ending season with the Indiana Fever
According to a report by Front Office Sports, Aliyah Boston is finalizing a deal to return to NBC Sports and Peacock as a studio analyst. She previously worked with them, making her debut as a studio analyst covering women’s college basketball in 2023.
Boston is following in the footsteps of Draymond Green and Chiney Ogwumike by kicking off her career as an analyst while competing professionally. That's not all that she will be doing this offseason, as she is also set to return to Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart's 3v3 basketball league, Unrivaled.
She played 13 games for the Vinyl BC last season, averaging 5.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. These could be fruitful moves for Boston as the WNBA's immediate future remains uncertain.
With the Oct. 31 deadline just days away, the WNBPA and WNBA are no closer to reaching an agreement on a new CBA. In light of this breakdown in negotiations, many speculate that the Unrivaled league will have a longer season.
Regardless, the Fever's forward will have much to keep her busy if the WNBA heads into a work stoppage.
