Alan Shearer has rolled out his predictions for the 2025/26 Premier League with just a little over a week left for the beginning of the upcoming campaign.
On Betfair, Shearer has anticipated the rankings of all 20 teams playing in the league next season, including Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland, who have been recently promoted to the top flight.
Liverpool claimed the Premier League title last season, while Arsenal and Manchester City ranked second and third, respectively. Chelsea concluded their run in fourth, followed by Newcastle United in fifth.
Shearer's predictions for the top five in the 2025/26 Premier League table remain the same as the results of last season.
The Newcastle United legend's prediction starts differing from that of the previous campaign from the fifth position. Shearer believes that Manchester United will be able to take a big jump from their 15th rank last season, and make it to sixth in the upcoming.
However, the Red Devils would still be missing out on European football for the 2026/27 campaign, according to Shearer.

Aston Villa ranks seventh in the table as per Shearer's predictions, followed by Tottenham Hotspur in eighth. The former striker's forecast regarding Spurs' position in the upcoming season is also a big leap, considering they stood 17th last campaign.
However, after winning the Europa League title, Tottenham have booked a place in the Champions League and might be able to turn things around for them in the Premier League this term with new head coach Thomas Frank.
Shearer has put Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Bournemouth to finish ninth, 10th, and 11th respectively in the league.
Crystal Palace, Everton, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are to conclude their 2025/26 league season ranking 12, 13, and 14, correspondingly, followed by Fulham, West Ham United, and Brentford to finish as the three teams above relegation in that order.
Shearer's predictions for the last three in the Premier League table align with the recent trend of newly promoted teams heading straight back to the Championship. He has put Leeds, Sunderland, and Burnley in the 18th, 19th, and 20th positions for the upcoming campaign.
