Alabama's football program is often viewed a bit like an NFL team.
There are many reasons for that, but how about this stat?
The Crimson Tide have now had a player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft for 17 consecutive years.
Tyler Booker to the Dallas Cowboys at No. 12 overall on Thursday night made that true this year. Linebacker Jihaad Campbell also went in the first, at No. 31 to the Eagles.
Alabama's Tyler Booker goes No. 12 overall to the Dallas Cowboys. Extends the program's record streak to 17 straight years with a first-round pick.
17.
The streak started in 2009 after Alabama somehow had no draft picks at all in the 2008 draft.

Amazingly, in 17 years, that's 49 first-round picks from one school.
Safe to bet at this point that the streak won't be ending next year, and maybe not for a long time.
