AEW star sends a warning to former WWE champions following return; aligns with Eddie Kingston

An AEW star made his return and aligned himself with Eddie Kingston. He has now sent a message to a pair of former WWE champions.

At AEW Worlds End 2025, Eddie Kingston faced off against Zack Gibson of the Grizzled Young Vets in the pre-show in a singles match. Kingston had no problem defeating the former WWE star. However, after the match, Zack Gibson attacked Kingston. This prompted Ortiz to make his return and save the former Continental Champion.

Following this, Ortiz and Eddie had an exclusive backstage segment. Ortiz had a message for the Grizzled Young Vets.

"18 months I've been sitting on the sidelines watching sc*m like the Grizzled Young Vets run rampage all over AEW disrespecting....You call yourselves veterans and then you have the audacity to treat a true veteran the way you've been treating him. But guess what? I'm hungry, I'm healthy, and I'm ready to eat some food and you best believe Grizzled Young Vets that I'm coming with that fire."

Eddie Kingston recently announced a farewell tour

Eddie Kingston has been wrestling for a very long time. He has been dedicated to his craft in the ring, and his passion just shows during his intense matches. Apart from competing in AEW, Kingston also wrestles on the independent circuit. However, given that he is 44 years old, he is nearing the end of his career.

Kingston recently took to social media to announce that he is currently in his final Indie run that will end in November next year. He also announced that he will be taking one booking per month until then.

"So this is my last indy run. Doing Beyond and a show in Jersey this weekend. After that I am taking only one show a month. By next November I am done with the indies and yeah nothing more too it. As of now I have December and March, April, May." He wrote.

It will be interesting to see how Ortiz and Kingston will fare against the Grizzled Young Vets.
