AEW star Ricochet issues a very blunt response on being compared to Mercedes Mone

A social media user recently compared Ricochet to one of AEW's top champions, Mercedes Mone. The decorated high-flyer has now responded to the comparison, paying due respect to The CEO in the process.

Ricochet was in action this past Wednesday in the opening match of AEW Dynamite, where he faced off against Bobby Lashley in a singles bout which would decide the #1 entrant for the upcoming Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear 2025. The All-Mighty swiftly defeated The Highlight of The Night, securing his spot at the pay-per-view and advancing one step closer to becoming the inaugural All Elite Wrestling National Champion.

Before his Dynamite match with Lashley had officially begun, Ricochet had been cutting a promo, which the latter disrupted by tossing The Future of Flight out of the ring onto his stable-mates, The Gates of Agony. The Demand member later retweeted a clip of the incident on X/Twitter, lashing out at fans for cheering Bobby on. When a fan then likened him to Mercedes Mone, Ricochet seemingly heaped praise on the TBS Champion by dubbing her (and by comparison, himself) the greatest wrestler of all time, writing:

"Greatest of all time? I fully agree. Thanks! #Ahaa 👑," tweeted Ricochet.

It remains to be seen if Ricochet will be able to become the first-ever National Champion at Full Gear this weekend.

Mercedes Mone competed in a title unification match on AEW television this week

This Wednesday on AEW's three-hour Dynamite-Collision special, Mercedes Mone battled Red Velvet in a Championship Unification bout to crown the Undisputed ROH Women's World Television Champion in the main event of the program. The CEO, who had won the interim title from Mina Shirakawa last month at WrestleDream, picked up the victory after planting her opponent with an avalanche Tombstone Lungblower.

After the match, Mercedes attacked Kris Statlander at the commentary desk, ending the show by standing tall with the latter's title. "Ultimo" Mone will face The Galaxy's Greatest Alien for her Women's World Championship this Saturday at Full Gear 2025.
